A little bit about me. The founder of Fun With Artz.
Hello, my name is Veavee. I come from a creative background as a designer in 1999. Was 5 years in the industry where I found the job not as fulfilling as I wanted it to be.
I started my teaching career as a co-teacher in 2007 working with my classmate who owns a teaching company name as Clayworkerz. I assisted his ceramic classes as a facilitator in primary schools for about year. Not long after I began as an independent facilitator and instructor on my own, from preparation of lessons to teaching, firing and glazing the work pieces. This teaching journey in schools took more than 7 years before I started to explore teaching Art as an educator using all other types and brands of non toxic clay materials for younger age group as well.

This is my own private space where I conduct daily craft activities. It's a cosy humble space for fun loving friends and families to spend time creating beautiful works with me. Oh by the way that's me in the photo and this is already the 12th year crafting journey for me. Meeting different people and working with people from all walks of life.

All made using Modena Clay added oil paints to individual pieces and sculpt.
Fishcakes, Fishball and Kway Teow I use white+translucent Clay, Meat slice I use the mixed clay added with yellow ochre paints and texture. Pork liver I use red plus brown Modena clay.

A collaborative effort between Ninth Gallery and Pop Up Asia to bridge the gap between local artisans and the international market. and we were thrilled to win a place as Gold Prize winners to participate in Pop up Asia 2018.
What an amazing experience it has been for us with Ninth Gallery! We won a place to exhibit our work @popupasia we were very excited about. I am really thankful to them for this experience.

One of the most memorable private Clay Party I held at my Private Studio. Of course I had her permission to post her and her beautiful works where she handmade all her Clay Nonya Kuehs to earring post for herself to wear. Without doubts, they chose to put their time and effort creating works that they cant buy in store.
My Cosy Studio Craft sessions everyday Monday to Sundays. Class on hold since 2020 April day One. We are now open for small group craft classes not more then 5. 12 -6pm daily. Close on public holidays, children's day and teacher's day.
It's always a fun session for me working and crafting unique clay accessories in craft sessions. This career brings excitement and challenges as I work with wide range of profile, genre and learning needs.
Created in year 2013 as Fishball Noodle is a commonly found everyday food in Singapore. Our culture started decades ago where noodle sellers added their own handmade fishballs into their noodles, as the sellers improvised, minced meat, pork livers, fishcakes and Tiger prawns are gradually also added in some exclusive night eateries to attract crowds.
This was also my first project where we incorporated Miniature Food Art into Story-based Art workshops for National Library Board Singapore.

Spent another year working full time working in this industry. Fulfilled my lifetime dream job first in my to do list. I worked as Infant Educarer in a Centre at Tradehub later changed to work as an Art Teacher teaching Art for all levels for 18 months to 6 years old in a Montessori School. |
After this I moved back to work on my own teaching just Art for children and younger then 4 years old. Age can really be a hindrance, career has it's lifespan. I wanted to be able to teach craft for as long as I can see, so i work harder now for this retirement job where I can grow old with my career.

This is one of the event where I conduct a craft team building workshop for National Library Board, when the whole team get together and be creative with the materials and instructions provided. Craft events are super challenging for me. Think of how exciting it could be for me to have a career that blends creative artistry and technical savvy. It took us months to plan for our work, prepare the logistic, packed the material kits, plan and create the workflow for this event. Then boomed!

Parents:We had lots of fun with our kids crafting Angry Birds on our files
Learning online Heuristic Creative Art curriculum. Online drawing classes and learn the basics of drawing, illustration, design and colouring techniques.
These are drawings we taught during our enrichments for early childhood 5 and 6 years old.
Teaching preschoolers the elements of art allows them to explore creativity while strengthening fine motor skills and hand-eye development.
The 7 Elements of Art are: Line, Value, Color, Shape, Form, Space, and Texture.
Exploring the topics using oil pastel as its a good grip to strengthen fine motor skills. Where we emphasise on observation skills and applying the 7 elements of art.

2010 Co Trainer at Jalan Bahar Clay Studios Singapore 97L Jalan Tawas for Primary School. These workshops are hand building techniques and a short demo for throwing on the wheel. Pottery workshops can also be arranged for schools interested in enhancing their art curriculum.

Hand-painted glassware workshop. Hand painted glass mugs, glasses, jewelry, embroidery. Design painted on the outer side with nontoxic paints, heat set for extra durability.
